The bloat scale
- 0 · CLEAN Just the program: no ads, no offers, nothing running that you did not ask for.
- 1 · LIGHT Small extras: an account for some features, an updater, the odd upgrade prompt.
- 2 · SOME Noticeable extras: background services, sign-in walls, regular upsells or data collection on by default.
- 3 · HEAVY Ads or constant upselling inside the program, or extra components you did not ask for.
- 4 · VERY HEAVY Ads plus bundled offers and antivirus "potentially unwanted" flags. Only if you really need it.
- * The number rates the program itself. Its installer may offer other software: the program's page says what to click, and when.
Level 5 is adware-grade, and nothing like that is listed. Cleanest first, everywhere.
Why no paid software? Nuxtre's directory is for things anyone can use without paying or signing up for a trial. Free programs with optional paid extras are marked "Free, with paid extras".
