About

The Epic Games Launcher is the desktop client for the Epic Games Store. It is used to buy, install, update and launch games, including Epic's own Fortnite and the many titles sold in the store, and to claim the free games Epic gives away on a regular schedule. The launcher keeps a library of owned games, supports cloud saves for compatible titles and connects to an Epic friends list. It is also the usual way to install Unreal Engine and reach the Fab marketplace for creator assets, so game developers use it as well as players. On phones, a separate Epic Games Store app installs titles such as Fortnite on Android and, in supported regions, on iPhone.
