About
Luanti (called Minetest until 2024) is a free, open-source voxel engine: worlds made of blocks you can dig, build and explore, alone or with friends. Out of the box it gives you a simple game; from its built-in content browser you can install complete games — survival, creative building, adventure maps — plus mods and texture packs, all free. There are public servers to join, or you can host your own. It runs well on modest PCs, and children and schools use it widely. If you came looking for Minecraft and don't want to pay yet, this is where to start.
