About
OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software) is a free, open-source program for recording video and streaming live, widely used by streamers, teachers and anyone making screen recordings. You build scenes from sources such as screen or window capture, webcams, capture cards, images, text and browser panels, then switch between them with transitions while recording or broadcasting to services like Twitch and YouTube. An audio mixer applies per-source filters including noise suppression, noise gates and gain, and VST plug-ins are supported. Studio Mode lets you prepare a scene before sending it live, and Multiview shows several scenes at once. Hotkeys can drive most actions, panels can be docked or popped out, and a plug-in API with Lua and Python scripting extends it further. Hardware encoders from NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and Apple are supported.
