About
DaVinci Resolve is Blackmagic Design's post-production suite, combining video editing, colour correction, visual effects and audio post-production in a single program. It began as a high-end colour grading system and is still known for its colour tools, but it now covers the whole workflow through dedicated pages: Cut and Edit for editing, Fusion for node-based compositing and motion graphics, Color for grading, Fairlight for audio mixing and Deliver for export. The free version covers most of the toolset, including multi-user collaboration and HDR grading, and works with 8-bit formats up to Ultra HD at 60 frames per second. The paid Studio edition adds the AI-based Neural Engine tools, extra effects, noise reduction, 10-bit and high-frame-rate support and resolutions beyond 4K. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and an iPad version is sold through the App Store.
