Free FTP, FTPS and SFTP client for moving files to and from servers

0 · CLEAN*The program itself is clean and open source. But its installer may add other software — see the box below before you click anything.
⚠ Before you install: the installer carries offers
The big green download button on filezilla-project.org can give you an installer that "may include bundled offers"; antivirus tools sometimes flag that one as potentially unwanted.
- On the FileZilla Client download page, do NOT click the big green button.
- Click Show additional download options below it.
- Pick the plain 64-bit Windows installer marked as recommended in that list.
- If you already used the main button: on any offer screen, click Decline and untick every box before Next.
The clean route: The installers under "Show additional download options" carry no offers.
About
FileZilla Client is a long-running open-source program for moving files between a computer and a remote server over FTP, FTP over TLS (FTPS) or SFTP. Its window shows local and remote folders side by side, so files can be dragged across, while a queue at the bottom tracks uploads and downloads and can resume interrupted transfers. A Site Manager stores connection details for servers you use often. Other tools include directory comparison, filename filters, speed limits and the option to edit a remote file with a local program and upload the changes back. It is widely used for maintaining websites on shared hosting. A paid FileZilla Pro edition adds cloud storage services such as Amazon S3, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
- FTP, FTPS and SFTP support
- Side-by-side local and remote panes with drag and drop
- Site Manager for saved connections
- Transfer queue with resume
- Directory comparison and filename filters
Before you download
- The Windows installer behind the main download button may include optional third-party offers; decline them during setup, or use the installers listed under 'Show additional download options'.
- Because of those offers, some antivirus tools flag that installer as a potentially unwanted application (PUA).
- Cloud storage protocols such as Amazon S3, Google Drive and OneDrive need the paid FileZilla Pro.
