About
WinDirStat is a free, open-source disk usage analyzer for Windows. After it scans a drive or folder, three linked views show where the space has gone: a sortable directory tree, a list of file types ranked by size, and a treemap in which every file is a colored rectangle sized by how much room it takes, so large or forgotten files stand out at a glance. The current 2.x series, a modernized continuation of the long-running original, adds a largest-files view, duplicate detection based on content hashes, and file-system monitoring. Built-in cleanup actions let you open, inspect or delete items directly. It is offered as MSI installers, a portable archive, through the Microsoft Store and via winget.
