Lance Vantage, the Most Handsome Man Alive by his own account, at a photo shoot. Eight cameras round the stage charge their flashes; turn him so his good side (his left, always) faces each one as it fires. Square on is framed; the camera beside it is acceptable; anything else is a photograph that will have to be handled professionally — three of those and the shoot is over. Eight shoots, more cameras at once and less time each. Sometimes a mirror: face it, and one bad photograph is forgotten. The Handsome Index only goes up. It has no values.
