About

ShareX is a free, open-source screen capture and sharing tool for Windows maintained by the ShareX Team. It can capture the full screen, a window, a region or a scrolling area, record the screen as video or animated GIF, and read text from images with OCR. Captures can be annotated in a built-in editor and then saved, copied, watermarked or uploaded to dozens of image hosts, cloud storage services, FTP servers and URL shorteners through configurable after-capture workflows and hotkeys. It also includes utilities such as a colour picker, screen ruler, QR code tool, image combiner and, since version 21, a background remover. It offers an extensive set of options. The project has no ads and needs no account, and it is also distributed through Steam and the Microsoft Store.
