About

Blender is a free, open-source 3D creation suite developed by the Blender Foundation and a large contributor community. One application covers modelling, sculpting, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and video editing. It includes two render engines: Cycles, a path tracer that can run on the GPU, and EEVEE, a real-time engine for fast previews and stylised output. Geometry Nodes provide procedural modelling and effects, and the Grease Pencil tools allow 2D drawing and animation inside 3D scenes. A Python API and add-ons extend most parts of the program. Long-term-support releases receive fixes for two years, which suits productions that need a stable version. Builds are offered for Windows (x64 and Arm), Apple silicon Macs and Linux, and also through Steam, the Microsoft Store and the Snap Store.
