About

TeamViewer has been one of the best-known remote access programs since its first release in 2005. It connects to another computer or mobile device using an ID and password, or through a device list tied to your account, and then lets you view and control that screen, transfer files, chat and print remotely. It can be set up for unattended access to your own machines, and the person receiving help can run a lightweight support module instead of installing the full program. Versions exist for Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, iOS and Raspberry Pi. Private, non-commercial use is free, while supporting customers or colleagues, or any other work or revenue-generating use, requires a paid licence.

  • Remote control of computers and mobile devices
  • File transfer, chat and remote printing
  • Unattended access to your own devices
  • Lightweight module for people receiving one-off help
  • Clients for desktop, mobile, ChromeOS and Raspberry Pi

Before you download

  • Free version is for personal use only; work or revenue-generating use needs a commercial license.
  • Remote-access tools are often misused by phone scammers; never install it or share your ID and password at a stranger's request.
