About
AnyDesk is a remote desktop program from the German company AnyDesk Software. One person reads out the address shown in their AnyDesk window, the other connects to it, and once the request is accepted the remote screen can be viewed and controlled. The download is only a few megabytes and the Windows version can run without being installed, which makes it convenient for one-off support sessions. It uses its own video codec designed to stay responsive on slow connections, and offers file transfer, a shared clipboard, remote printing, session recording and password-protected unattended access. Clients are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, plus ChromeOS, FreeBSD, Raspberry Pi and Apple TV. Personal use is free, while companies need one of the paid plans.
