About
MusicBee is a free music manager and player for Windows, developed by Steven Mayall, that targets people with large local collections. Its library tools are its strength: automatic tag lookup, artwork retrieval and file organisation help bring order to messy folders, while customizable views make it easy to browse by artist, album or genre. Playback options include gapless playback, WASAPI and ASIO output, a 10- or 15-band equalizer with DSP effects, volume normalisation and support for some Winamp plug-ins. It can also rip CDs, sync music, playlists and podcasts to portable devices, scrobble to Last.fm, and play podcasts and web radio. The look can be changed with skins and the layout rearranged extensively. Installer and portable editions are offered on the website, plus a Microsoft Store version with automatic updates.
