About

Ventoy is an open-source tool for building a multi-boot USB drive. Instead of writing a single image to the stick each time, you install Ventoy once and then copy ISO, WIM, IMG, VHD(x) or EFI files onto the drive like ordinary files. At startup Ventoy shows a menu listing every image, so you can choose which one to boot. This suits technicians, Linux enthusiasts and anyone who keeps several installers or rescue disks on hand. It works with both legacy BIOS and UEFI firmware, including Secure Boot, and supports a very wide range of Linux distributions, Windows versions and utility disks. Free space on the drive stays usable for regular files, and plugins add boot-menu themes, persistence for some Linux live systems and automated installations.

  • Copy ISO, WIM, IMG, VHD(x) and EFI files straight to the drive
  • Boot menu that lists every stored image
  • Legacy BIOS and UEFI support, including Secure Boot
  • Free space remains usable for normal files
  • Plugins for themes, persistence and auto-installs

Before you download

  • Installing Ventoy formats the USB drive; later Ventoy upgrades keep the stored images.
  • With Secure Boot enabled, each computer needs a one-time key enrolment on the first boot.
