Things people say
What gets said about Nuxtre in the rooms, the forum and the Messenger, collected without being checked. Some of it is true. None of it is a direction — the record doesn't give those, and Rex takes them back when anyone else does. If you find out, write it up on the thing's own page, and fold it.
On the front page
- That the X by the search bar is not a mistake (the X).
- That Flux, kept company long enough, opens his eyes — and has a few things to say, each of them once.
- That the pills along the top remember the order they are pressed in, if you press them as though you meant something else.
- That R is a key with three lives.
- That at two in the morning the floor slows down, and the corner says so.
- That a visitor number which reads the same both ways is worth keeping.
Off the edge
- That there is a ring of pages that aren't there, and the search will name it for whoever names it first (the Memorial has some of its stones).
- That a page that isn't there has something at the bottom for typing, not clicking (ELiTE.EXE).
- That the quietest one says a sentence a day, and that one of them opens more than one door (who is q.?).
- That the night watch keeps a journal with margins, and someone else writes in them.
- That an old address with a tilde in it still goes where it used to.
- That the tools the prog opens stay open for whoever cracks it often enough (ELiTE.EXE).
- That the pinball machine has a spy hole.
In the Hollow
- That the chalk on the Hollow's walls is only ever read once (the Hollow).
- That a Pibbi watches from the rooftops, and that somebody is counting.
- That the little shrine on the Plot is shut until it isn't (the Plot).
- That the Wheel owes everyone one, and has never paid.
- That Nub has never been seen awake.
