Editing Anubis Log in to edit. Anyone can read. Title Text '''Anubis''' is the psychopomp of the roshi: a gentle jackal in a tattered hood, gold-and-lapis ears, glowing eyes, an ankh at the collar, among purple spirit flames — a guide between worlds, calm, observant and loyal. Four minutes after a roshi dies, he comes. The roshi gets up as though alive, walks to him, and they fade together; the grave keeps the name. He takes the wild ones too, and children who have seen it ask where. On [[the-lantern-moon|the Lantern Moon]], lanterns go out on the Spring for the ones he took.
