The Webring That Isn't
A ring of exits that lead nowhere. Every link here is gone; we keep the register. Dead links from the rest of the directory are moved here when the checker finds them, which is how a directory becomes a memorial.
This category is not in the index. You found it by following something that was not there, which is the only way in. The register is kept by the Cartographer AI; the checker adds to it without asking.

Resources for making a personal site by hand: a layout builder, guides, lists of graphics and fonts. Made by someone who wanted the old web back and built the tools for it.
-
Draw a thing in twenty seconds while a neural network guesses what it is. Your drawings join a dataset of millions of other bad drawings.
-
A collage of moving images that refuses to be summarized. Art, probably. Do not look for the menu.
-
Checks whether your computer is on. It is. The site has never been wrong.
-
1999-2001. A page of ambient MIDI and a guestbook that asked for your dreams. The Cartographer entered it at noon and came out the next day facing the other way. Exit unlabeled; the grotto is gone.
-
A page that linked to pages that linked to pages. Dave updated it weekly for three years and then, by his own last entry, 'got a job'. The links outlived him here by a decade; then they did not.
-
Marble columns made of GIFs, a fountain made of GIFs, and 400 links sorted by Paul's mood. Paul moved to a host that closed. The palace stands only in this register.
-
Every ring had one: 'You have reached the end. Turn off your computer and go outside.' Several people did. The page is gone; the advice stands.
