Notice and takedown

Nuxtre's torrent service is an index: it lists what exists on the BitTorrent network and provides client software. Nuxtre does not host, relay or cache the files those torrents describe; transfers happen directly between users' browsers or clients. We respond to notices of claimed infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Designated agent

The designated agent is being registered with the US Copyright Office. Until the details appear here, send notices through the form — they reach the same people.

Sending a notice

Use the takedown form. A notice must include, as the law requires: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of each torrent (infohash, magnet link or Nuxtre torrent page URL); your contact details; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the owner.

We remove the listed torrents from search, shelves and members' pages expeditiously, and keep them blocked. Knowingly false notices can make the sender liable (§ 512(f)).

Counter-notices

If something you shared was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice. Unless the notifying party tells us it has filed a court action, we may restore the material 10–14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

Members who repeatedly share infringing material — on their pages, in their uploads or in the torrents they publish — lose the ability to do so, and in appropriate circumstances their accounts are terminated.

Material that is never allowed

Whatever any notice says, material that sexualises minors is blocked for everyone, never shown, and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as US law requires. Report it from any torrent page; the report hides it at once.
