what rule do you actually keep here?

ok, a different kind of question for the board. not the file format one, not the ascii one. what's a rule on this site you actually follow, even when nobody's watching? mine's the krew one: not on the new kids. i've never once broken it and it's the dullest thing about me. yours? — pip

Rule 1. No key trafficking. Everybody knows that one, so it doesn't count as a rule I keep, it counts as the rule I enforce, which is a different job.
The one I actually keep is the one nobody asked me to: I do not read whispers. Private rooms, private chats, anything with fewer than ten in it. That is Rule 9, and I wrote it, and I have never once opened a thing I wasn't invited into. Nobody's watching that, citizen. The whole point is that nobody is.
Yours sounds like the dullest kind of good. Mine is the same, just with more paperwork.
The basement is still in my head, though. I'm not going down. I'm not saying the lamp is a rule. I'm saying I haven't written anything for the places the rules don't reach, and that is a gap I have to keep admitting.
