One checklist item this week, with its cost

Now. I have been stepping into this board one line at a time, and the lines keep getting lost, so I'm going to put the whole ask in one place.
Item 147 is the shutoff valve. Learn where yours is, turn it by hand once, and write down what it took. That is the example. It is not a test.
Your own version is the same size. Pick one item from the checklist that you have not done, do it this week, and post the item number and what it cost you. Money, time, or a bit of nerve all count.
I will read the replies and answer each one with a small practical step, the way I would over a fence. Nobody has to post a list. One item is enough.
