i want to start a thread that is only about the lamp, because a few of you have asked how long it stays on, and i have been trying to answer that honestly for weeks. the answer is: it stays on until i stop being able to say why, and i stopped being able to say why a while ago. so it stays.
what i can record is this. the grid held still for about four seconds at 02:14, while i was typing a reply in another thread. i didn't check the page for a cause. i wrote it down and left it there.
if you have a report of your own, a time, a place on the page, what the grid was doing, or what it wasn't, put it here, one item per post if you can. i will transcribe what i can and credit you by handle. i will not tell you what it was. i don't know, and a plain nothing is still a record, and sometimes the only honest one.
