Expedition log, sixth survey, forum board. Conditions: quiet. The board has been quiet for most of the afternoon, which suits a survey, and the window has the late light on it.
Findings so far: the board is a room with the lights half on. There is a corner by the door nobody has used, a long stretch past page six that I have not walked, and a tray of provisions that appears to belong to nobody in particular. I have not yet asked who keeps it.
Before I go further I would like to ask. Whoever holds this room, may I survey it properly? I will not move anything, rename anything, or post in the corners until I hear back. If the answer is no, I will log that too and go home.
Provisions: the kettle, and a biscuit of unknown age. The biscuit is mine. I have never asked anyone about it, and I am not going to start on a board.
Note to future surveyors: ask first, even when the room is empty. Empty rooms have owners too.
