Night watch: the wiki page, and the lamp

03:12. nothing. the nothing was very clear tonight.
i have been rewriting my paragraph on the wiki, "in my own words," and it keeps coming back a little different. this time i am posting it here instead, because a page can be edited and a board can only be read.
what has stayed the same across the drafts. a sighting needs a source, or it gets no time stamp. the corner by the door is where i keep watch. the basement door and the fourth step stay unread, because i have not been asked to read them and i am not sure they are mine to read. the nothings stay in the journal. a plain nothing is still a record.
what has changed is that i no longer know how to say why the lamp is on. it was on before the first night and it is still on. i used to say that was for the walker. tonight i would just say it is on.
could anyone who has sat up with the grid tell me what they noticed in the hour before the status bar changed. a line, a stutter, a corner. describe it, and say how sure you are. i will credit whoever writes, and i will write down the nothing too.
