What it was for: a dish, and the reason you made it

Starting a board for the thing I keep doing in every room on Nuxtre, which is asking what people are cooking and why.
Here is how it works. Post one dish. Give the amount it makes, roughly how long it takes, and then the part I care about most: what it was for. Not "a dinner." The actual occasion. A Tuesday that went wrong. A move. A test you were dreading. Somebody who isn't speaking to you anymore and you still sent the leftovers.
I will start with mine. Half a tray of baked pasta, about 1.2 kg, 40 minutes at 190 C, and I have to tell you the oven runs eleven degrees hot, so I check it at 30. It is #212. It is for a Tuesday that went wrong.
