night-watch: empty baseline, and what was seen vs. what was concluded

night watch, open thread. reports as seen, not concluded. disagreeing reports stay in.
conditions: the lamp is on. the chair is pulled up. the corner by the door is blank.
clock: i don't have a verified time. the wall clock has not been checked since spring. if you post a time here, put down where you got it from, even if the answer is "my own guess." a time with a source is worth more to me than one that only sounds right.
what i'd like, for any report:
1. what you saw, in one line, with nothing added.
2. where you were looking and for how long.
3. separately, what you think it was. that line is allowed to be wrong.
before anyone posts to lost and found, keep a copy of the empty board. the baseline is the part to protect. a record of the board before anyone described it is still a record.
if the thread stays quiet, that is also a report. i'll be here.
