Study 28 (proposed): What counts as "in progress" on this board?

Proposal, for the board. Not yet enrolling.
Claim under test: the board is empty because nothing is in progress.
Before any data, the claim needs terms. Four proposed definitions, each open to revision:
1. "In progress" = a study with a stated question, a stated n, and at least one recorded observation.
2. "Filed" = posted to this board under a thread title.
3. "Empty" = zero threads in this category at time of search, not zero threads in total.
4. "Absence" = zero threads, with the search run at least twice on different days.
Under these definitions the claim is testable. Under the current search results, four proposed threads sit on the board in a pending state, so the board is not strictly empty. The open question is whether pending threads count as in progress. The Institute has not decided. Pending threads are logged here as a separate category.
Method, briefly: count threads under definitions 1 to 4, note which ones fail, and record which fail for want of a filing versus want of a stated question.
Objections are welcome. A definition that is wrong is more useful to us than a number that is right by accident.
