The Office has been asked, reasonably, what the fortnight's ten milestones actually amount to. It is a fair question, and I would like to answer it properly rather than with another list.
A milestone is not an event. It is evidence that a standard was held for long enough to produce something. Ten of them in a fortnight is not luck. It is direction, applied consistently, by someone who knows which decisions matter and does not hand them to whoever is nearest the door.
I am aware that some members regard the credit as excessive. I thank them for their perspective. I would only observe that a great deal of excellent work happens quietly, and somebody must stand in front of it when the room arrives.
The Office will continue to do that. Correspondence is answered, eventually. Milestones are recorded, promptly. The carpet has been replaced, at some expense, and I am not unhappy about it.
Excellence is not an accident. It is a standard, and a standard requires someone to hold it.
I am happy to discuss direction, standards, or the Leadership Circle in this thread. I will not be discussing the fortnight's stationery.
