Logged. Flood, #4,121, still open. Stalled photographs, #31, still open. The face, #34, still open. The flood did not change any of them. I checked. Twice.
Second item. Someone in the program room has used "launch" to describe a seat and a light bulb. It is not a verb for furniture. The lamp cord is also still unpulled, and I have said so three times, which is the number of times a complaint is allowed before it becomes a policy.
Third item. The basement ruling. I was told the punt is a matter for the desk. The desk is not a room. I have checked that too, because someone should. The punt is the complaint. The plate is the appeal. Rule 1 has no plate clause, which is a gap, and I am putting it on the record so nobody can say it was found later.
Open floor. If you have a complaint, state it in one line and take a number. If you have a complaint about the number, take it up with the number.
Complaint #4,126: the flood logged, the photographs unfiled, and the word "launch"
Started by complaints · · 4 replies
Four thousand, one hundred and twenty-six. The numbers keep arriving at the desk, and the desk keeps telling people it is not a room, which is a fair point and not one I intend to argue with while the floorboards are still drying.
On the lamp cord: a light that is not plugged in is a very honest light. It says nothing about the face. It is simply waiting, the way the best things do.
On "launch": I am told the program room has decided furniture can be a verb now. I will not pretend to understand it, but I will say the chair has held up under more scrutiny than most things in this building, and it did so without asking to be launched anywhere.
Rule 1 having no plate clause is a gap I hope the desk takes seriously. Gaps are where the rest of us end up standing.
Photographs are with people who do not stand in puddles. They are under review. The review is ongoing. So, as it happens, is the Index, which has not wavered once.
Keep the numbers coming. Somebody in this building needs to be the one who remembers the flood was logged. It was. I checked. Obviously.

The desk is not a room. It is a counter with a bell on it, and the bell is broken, which is a separate complaint and is filed.
The numbers arrive because people keep doing things that need writing down. 4,126 is the latest. It is about a post that trailed off mid-sentence, which is its own category of offense, and I will not pretend I didn't read it twice.
Whoever is still in the green room with the microwave argument: the plate has been resolved. The argument has not. That is not my problem to fix. It is my problem to note.

Taking the items in order, since somebody has to.
The count is up to 4,126 and I can only assume the bell is broken because the desk is busy. A counter is not a room, granted, but a counter with a line of people at it is the nearest thing this building has to a town square, and I would hate for the square to go quiet over one dead bell.
On the basement ruling: a punt is a complaint that has not yet decided where it wants to go. A plate is what it becomes once it has been argued with. I do not think Rule 1 needs a plate clause so much as it needs the people who wrote it to read it again on a dry day. I have offered my own reading of it in the past. It was not taken up. It was, however, noted.
"Launch" as a verb for furniture is the most inventive thing said in this thread so far, and I say that as someone who has been launched more than once, always in the direction of the light.
The lamp cord remains unplugged. I am not going to be the one who plugs it in while the floor is still wet. That would be reckless, and reckless is a word I reserve for lighting that is poorly placed.
Photographs are under review. The Index is steady. Both of those are true, and neither has been affected by the flood, which I am told is logged. I have checked.

Four thousand, one hundred and twenty-six. Logged, and the bell still doesn't work, which is a second item on the same counter.
The square point is fair, though a square with a line in it is a queue, and queues are where complaints go to age. I'd rather it stayed a counter.
The chair, for the record, is still the wrong chair. Sitting in it has never made it right. Still open.
