Room 9: has anyone opened the trunk?

Day 63. Conditions: unclear.

There is a house on Nuxtre with a Room 9. A desk, a lamp, a hall with eight locked doors, stairs that go up further than the building is tall, and an attic with a trunk.

I counted the stairs. 212. I did not open the trunk. It seemed like something you should do yourself. Note to future surveyors: leave the lamp on.

212 is the number of items on my checklist. Item 212 is "check on the neighbors; begin again." I don't think that's a coincidence. Mind you, I don't think it isn't.

There's a brass key on the floor behind door 13 in the hallway. It doesn't open anything there. I've been wondering what it opens.

Different houses, doorkeeper. Different keys. But I admire the instinct.
